The Hitchhiker Guide Galactic Marvel

Every Thursday at lunchtime, someone tries to demolish the Earth, almost always starting with New York. Devourer of planets, alien armies, Nordic gods which are actually distant cousins of ET… Our world, in the Marvel Universe, It is a sort of Ibiza which stop not arriving aircraft low-cost full of drunken tourists, that left him all lost objects of cosmic power – the tesseract of Captain America / the Avengers – or who engage in seducing our girls and abduct our puppies.

That it is to say Pete Quill, Star-Lord, leader of a handful of thugs space called The guardians of the Galaxy. Give back them the move isn’t so easy: any attempt to go out on our own outer space usually end in Brown type Gravity, although the road to the stars is filled with memorable sites. And you can almost always bring you back home a souvenir in the form of new superpowers.

If you don’t know where you start, take a plane to New York marvelita.

In the solar system: the negative zone

At the corner of 42nd Street with Madison Avenue is the Baxter building, headquarters of the fantastic four, Universal adventurers whose greatest enemies are Doctor death and a 20th Century Fox unable to film benefit.

In one of the top floors of the skyscraper is portal to the negative zone, a universe composed of antimatter. The Hitchhiker It has the advantage that you can breathe in the vacuum, but the drawback that the area is inhabited by several species little recommended, from the bearded of Blastaar – a cross between Conan and Hulk Hogan with explosive fingers – up to thousands of planets inhabited by carnivorous insects the size of buildings led by a mantis with wings and a permanent face of Monday called Annihilus.

If tourism risk is going, it is perfect: What better to visit a universe which cannot be unless your atoms to burst and whose maximum leader seeks total annihilation?

The negative zone

  • Probability of survival: Minimum
  • Probability of film: Minimum

The blue area of the Moon

The same building Baxter has a platform type Cape Canaveral – in a skyscraper. In the middle of Manhattan – from which you can go and easily return to the moon. There, in one of the more than 1,500 known craters on the face of our satellite, is the blue zone, an area covering around the Crater Luther and has two points of interest.

The first is the home of Uatu, the watcher, the tweeters of the Marvel Universe species: bald giants of immense power that is engaged to observe other species without intervening. A little further lies Attilan, the city Inhumana, transplanted there from the Himalayas. The inhuman are living weapons, the result of genetic experiments of the alien species Kree (pay attention to this name), each with its own appearance and superpowers. If your King, Ray black, not greets you, it is because a mere whisper his has the power of an atomic bomb. And, even so, he is married to a redhead.

The inhuman are thrilled because Marvel Studios wants to become the cinematic alternative to the X-Men, because Fox forgot to ensure their rights.

The blue area of the Moon

  • Probability of survival: High
  • Probability of film: High, at least with regard to the inhuman

The Contratierra

On the other side of the Sun, in our same orbit, is the Contratierra, an artificial replica of our planet. The planet is known as the origin of Adam Warlock, a sort of alien Messiah, and that the guardians of the Galaxy film have left out embers and magician. Also as a temporary base of Squadron Supreme, serving in Marvel to answer the question “who would win, the Avengers or DC Justice League?”.

The Contratierra is a product of the 70’s, with a density of population of less than Soria and less tourist attraction still. There are better things to see in our solar system.

The Contratierra

  • Probability of survival: Would you like to go?
  • Probability of film: [laughs]

Titan

The largest moon of Saturn has its own atmosphere, oceans of water and great possibilities for future terraforming… If it wasn’t because it was already inhabited. By the Eternals, our Greek exdioses (you know where they got the idea of the Asgard for Thor), another human race modified by aliens. So what they ended up engendering its own Hitler: Thanos, the mad Titan, which seeks to bring together all cosmic objects that we are seeing in the movies for resurrecting the infinity gauntlet, the ultimate weapon marvelita.

For what? To destroy Middle universe, turn off the Suns, destroy almost all life. For what? For linking to death. It cannot be more Gothic than that. The two guardians of the Galaxy of green skin are related to Thanos, incidentally: Gamora is his adopted daughter, and DRAX is a modified human to stop the mad Titan. And Yes, the Marvel Universe is a soap opera.

Titan

  • Probability of survival: Zero
  • Probability of film: Thanos is the main subplot of phases 2 and 3 of Marvel Studios.

In the milky way and surroundings: Xandar

Already in other solar systems are one of the jewels of the Galaxy. Xandar, the first civilization ruled by an AI, the Mundo-Mente. But the planet is mostly famous for hosting the Nova Corps, the police officers of the Galaxy, who selected the best recruits from each planet to deliver the Nova force and the universe apatrullen. His best actor was an earthling Richard Rider.

What all of this sound too to another franchise? AJA. If more officials in the trailer for the guardians of the Galaxy the Nova Corps is superpolis because in the comics you can quietly plagiarizing Green Lantern, but we imagine that Disney does not want a supermarron with Warner.

Xandar

  • Probability of survival: High
  • Probability of film: The guardians of the Galaxy

Hala/Kree-lar

The planetary equivalent to Madrid and Barcelona of the Kree Empire. The Kree are Galactic superpower of the Marvel Universe, alien Humanoids – blue and white leather-, led by the Supreme intelligence, a cross between Skynet and a plate of green gelatin. Expansionist, xenophobic, Spartan space… A gem of species. They are responsible for half of the genetic experiments with human from the time of the dinosaurs. And, apart from supernaves, they have an army of giant robots, which always gives points of tourism; and a judicial body to the Judge Dredd, consisting of super types with bad grapes. One of his attorneys, Ronan the accuser, is the main villain of the guardians of the Galaxy.

Hala/Kree-Lar

  • Probability of survival: Minimum
  • Probability of film: The guardians of the Galaxy

Chandilar

The Shi’ar are Humanoids evolved from birds. They are also another great power in the Galaxy, with thousands of solar systems and races under your domain. A galactic monarchy where his Leia is called Lilandra Neramani, a warrior’s impossible hair that the interspecies roll going: her boyfriend is a bald Telepath earthling in a wheelchair, Charles Xavier (the species was the equivalent to the Kree for the X-Men).

Although the Shi’ar already can’t fly, your planet is a nest of vertical arcologias. And, apart from having ships taken directly from the video game Galaxian, is protected by the Imperial Guard Shi’ar: dozens of super types with all the powers of the Legion of Superheroes of DC.

Chandilar

  • Probability of survival: If Charles Xavier might, you also
  • Probability of film: Rather small: they are “good” and its greatest appeal is another plagiarism to DC

Galador

Imagine a whole world of superciborgs conceived at the height of the disco culture: Warriors with touches of disco balls, ready to leave half of humanity to become light, sound and battery toys. Galador is exactly that: a planet created to give good atmosphere and plot to a 1979 action figure (ROM).

Ridiculous? As such as Transformers and G.I. Joe, other two toy franchises who came to Marvel for that give them comics. Although it sounds to the Chocolate Factory, Galador space Knights are the thing most mecha to this side of the Japan.

Galador

  • Probability of survival: Elevated. Inside a tin of sardines, but high
  • Probability of film: There is a problem: Galador belongs to Marvel, but no one knows who has the rights of ROM

The world throne Skrull

The third Empire in discord remained more or less decapitated when Galactus, the Devourer of worlds, decided to give a feast with their capital. Now, all that remains of the capital of an empire of chameleons to the Mystic is an asteroid belt.

How many explanetas are there like these in the Marvel Universe? Thousands, that Galactus is always hunger, and the only one who has made you diet is the land. The Skrull, for its part, has two merits: they are the first alien species of Marvel – a new fantastic four enemies – and are the inspirers of the Chitauri, the army of Loki in the Avengers movie.

World throne Skrull (formerly Tarnax IV)

  • Probability of survival: There is nothing alive in several parsecs RADIUS
  • Probability of film: Fox and Disney are shared rights of the Skrull, but if there are two test and two Scarlet Witch (in X-Men and the Avengers 2)…

Places of interest/threats: the Kyln

Something you’ve done wrong if you’re in a cosmic prison as the observable universe is just right. Kyln is the name of a system of artificial moons interconnected among themselves, created by a species unknown shortly after the Big Bang to extract energy from the border of our universe.

So what the xandarianos leverage to incarcerate all the riffraff of the cosmos, including anthropomorphic raccoons of trigger-happy and arboreal giants of Planet X. In the comics, by the way, dropped that beyond that prison is the negative zone.

The Kyln

  • Probability of survival: Cadena Perpetua
  • Probability of film: The guardians of the Galaxy

Places of interest/threats: Knowhere

There is a point in the middle of the interstellar void where floats the decapitated head of a Celestial, gigantic aliens robotic-looking. As unscrupulous builders are a universal constant, head is today a space station halfway between the island of lost and the Mos Eisley cantina, equipped with a teleporter of long-range.

The perfect base of operations for the guardians of the Galaxy, and with the most improbable shades of the universe: Cosmo, one of those dogs that the Soviets launched into space, with telepathic powers of Russian accent and costume and diving of a canino Cosmonaut.

Knowhere

  • Probability of survival: Rugged
  • Probability of film: The guardians of the Galaxy

Places of interest/threats: The Mundo-Nave

“That is not a satellite.” Galactus, the Devourer of worlds, has a modus operandi very well defined: sends a bald Silver Surfer, a fiery redhead, or a Khal Drogo planeta-restaurante and later is planted there with his own table and cutlery. In this case, with a ship that is about thousand times the death star.

The ship itself is all that remains of a world previous to ours, the ultimate dream of cosmic archaeologist, and served as egg for the birth of the Devourer over our Big Bang: the idea of touring the cosmos in your own technological placenta.

The Mundo-Nave

  • Probability of survival: The question is “how you came?”
  • Probability of film: The fantastic four and Silver Surfer, that black hole of ideas

Places of interest/threats: Ego, the living planet

You’ll Picnic space to a planet’s surface organic, whose landscapes you vividly remember this stage of experimentation with hallucinogens. Suddenly, in the middle of the sandwich, the ground begins to generate hex creatures arranged from you face. You forget your things while you are trying to reach the ship and tentacles coming out of everywhere seek to catch you. Mountains lean against you, mud tries to swallow.

You mention the ship and burn engines trying to escape from a gravity that has multiplied by ten minutes. Apart from the orbit power fails, and landing on its gravity well, while booms a voice impossible. You look at the surface of your sentence and you realize that the own planet… you got eyes! Its continents form a face! He’s alive! YOU HAVE MOUSTACHE!!

Ego

  • Probability of survival: Zero
  • Probability of film: No

Places of interest/threats: Sakaar

One of the few possibilities of dealing with Hulk if someday lose control at all is that Tony Stark and company mess in a space capsule and send him to make cosmic heck. Although it is possible that your vehicle a worm hole eats it is and land on a planet of sword and sorcery fiction pocha. Where touch you to play the role of Spartacus, with the difference that there is no force in the universe that can defeat Hulk.

A planet where it can be rey-gladiador, liberating the oppressed and linking to a chick half shade, half stone, and live happily angry for the remains. But also the possibility of something to come out wrong, the planet stop made primitive porridge and Hulk perceiving him blaming the Avengers before embarking on the way back sword at the ready declaring war on the planet Earth.

Sakaar

  • Probability of survival: Plenty, if you’re big and green
  • Probability of film: There is, but Hulk has already been defeated twice by a stronger than the enemy: merciless La box office

Places of interest/threats: the Cancerverso

The rest of creatures from Lovecraft and Cthulhu came from another dimension: a universe where “life has won”. I.e., a cosmos crashed into infinity’s tentacles, things of unpronounceable name and where there are no galaxies, but eager to grow even more malignant tumors.

Able to prevent Galactus, burst celestial as if they were pipes and brushing the navies of Empires. Admit it: only Marvel could catch the intimate horrors of Lovecraft and turn them into an interdimensional war unimaginable.

The Cancerverso

  • Probability of survival: You can not die there, but you will suffer eternally
  • Probability of film: Not in a million years

And a list of titles for preparing your trip:

  • ‘ The Avengers: the Kree-Skrull Guerra’, Roy Thomas, Neal Adams and Sal Buscema
